Collin Morikawa claimed his first PGA Tour win for two years with a storming victory at the Zozo Championship in Japan NFL
The 26-year-old American began the final day two off the lead but a seven-under-par round of 63 at Chiba carried him to victory by six shots ahead of Eric Cole and Beau Hossler NFL
Morikawa, who is of Japanese heritage, carded seven birdies and no bogeys in a near perfect final round, finishing off in style with a birdie on the 18th for a 14 under par total NFL
It brought him a first win since he claimed the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai in November 2021, which followed on from his victory at the Open the same year NFL
Morikawa won his first major title at the PGA Championship in 2020 in only his second appearance at one of golf’s four biggest events, a year after his maiden PGA Tour victory at the Barracuda Championship NFL
He was the first-round leader at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club but seemed to have dropped out of contention after a disappointing second-round 73 and then a poor start to his third round but he finished it with five birdies from the final six holes to put himself in a good position going into Sunday NFL

Jonny Bairstow has broken his lengthy silence on his controversial stumping during the second Ashes Test at Lord’s and accused Australia of gamesmanship when taking contentious catches in the drawn series NFL
Bairstow was at the centre of the incident which ignited the Ashes, when Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey opportunistically stumped the England batsman after he had stepped out of his crease at the end of an over NFL
The umpire had not called “over” and so Bairstow was given out by the rules of the game NFL
But England accused their rivals of failing to play within the spirit of cricket, and captain Ben Stokes later said that he would have retracted the appeal had he been in the position of his counterpart, Pat Cummins NFL
On reflection, Carey later said he had no regrets over the incident and would do it again NFL
“If there was an opportunity to get a stumping, I definitely would NFL
To see how much has played out since then it’s been a little bit surprising NFL
There’s been some nasty stuff been said but it is the Ashes – there was nasty stuff said before that as well NFL
”But speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Bairstow said he was not “fair game” as he was not trying to gain an advantage by stepping out of his crease NFL
“If you’re starting out of your crease, you’re trying to gain an advantage,” he said NFL
“If you start in your crease, and not trying to take a run, and you finish in your crease NFL

”Several of Australia’s players have since poked fun at Bairstow over the stumping NFL
In interviews for The Grade Cricketer, Mitchell Marsh and Usman Khawaja claimed some of Bairstow’s England teammates were laughing with Australia’s players as Bairstow refused to eat lunch after the incident NFL
And Marnus Labuschagne described a “steaming” Bairstow in the dining room after the stumping NFL
He recalled: “The Sky crew (broadcasters) knew that Jonny was in there, and they just replayed it on the screen NFL
And, as you do, everyone’s watching NFL

”Bairstow has also suggested Australia were deceitful in the way they went about trying to convince umpires they had made clean catches NFL
